Almost 4 years ago I was TERRIFIED as I signed my first lease for my first real studio. I can't believe how fast that four years has gone and what an absolute success it's been. Moving to my own professional space was the BEST business decision I have ever made (other than starting one, of course ). In my adorable little 800 sq ft space we have grown and grown again. Its litterally so full in there, so not only business wise, but STUFF too. We have stuff EVERYWHERE! HA! If you've been there lately, you know!
We survived Covid and came out better on the other side. It's truly an amazing experience to look back on.
Fast forward to today. Today, I am signing my second lease on my second studio!! It's over twice as big and in an AMAZING location, in downtown Lakeville. It's surrounded by shops and restaurants and all kinds of other fun businesses. I am so excited to be a part of all of that and the community that we live in! This is the first and only picture I have ever taken of it. Its from the first night I took my husband, my kids, and my bestie to see what Cali and I had seen and fell in love with that same afternoon (not the only one we checked out). The white part (all of second floor) is MINE!! Below us is a coffee shop/restaurant AND wine bar!!! This could be dangerous BUT you guys will love coming to this area! It's so amazing!
The new space gives me so much opportunity to have different sets, offer a variety of different types of sessions, etc. I'll have living room sets, bedroom sets, lots of different wall options, the list goes on. Of course, my speciality will always be newborns! But we also do so many milestone and family sessions that I am thrilled to be able to offer so much more variety!
In the last six months, we have really started growing with our professional printing too and that is also expanding. Our products are amazing and I'm continuing to find vendors that offer such amazing pieces.
I am beyond excited for this new chapter. Our last month in our current studio is February and our first month in the new studio is also February. So, it'll be a big month of transition, but we are so ready!
A huge thank you to Calissa who has been by my side (literally) for over the last three years and helped make this dream come true. I could not have done it without her!
And of course to my amazing husband who is always my biggest cheerleader and always willing to do the things we need around the studio or installing beautiful art pieces in my clients homes!
And of course, most of all, to you, my clients. I've said it before, I'll say it again and again, I am blessed with the best ones and you ALL have helped me make this dream a reality!
